MoU Signing between SOS Children's Villages Somalia and Benadir Regional Administration

SOS Children’s Villages Somalia and Benadir Regional Administration  have signed a Memorandum of Understanding collaborating in delivering health service in Benadir District. 

The purpose of the agreement  is to strengthen the  commitment   in implementation, Coordination of all health care service programmes in Benadir Region.

Benadir Regional Administration intends to support SOS CV Somalia  in the documentation and port of entry clearance of all medical supplies, nutrition supplies and equipment,granting permission for the procurement and importation of the permit-required pharmaceuticals including Opioids and Narcotics and  ensuring the quality of imported health service supplies in cooperation with newly formed Somalia Bureau of Standards.

“We have always been grateful for the support given by  Benadir Regional Administration and Ministry of Health Somalia which made us reach a wide range of people who need the life- saving medical assistance. This collaboration will enhance the quality of our work and contribute to a greater impact of the health programmes in Southern Somalia” said SOS Children's Villages Emergency advisor  Deka Dhimbil at the signature of the agreement in Guryasamo  on Monday.

On his part BRA Health Director Mohamed Adow, said: “the partnership and MOU strengthens the smooth implementation of the health activities and help us to identify the gaps and overlaping of services in Benadir District. We want to reduce the high cases of mortality and morbidity in our region and give each child and a woman a well deserving health services".
